The Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is a nationally recognised qualification designed for senior professionals who are responsible for managing and leading health and safety practices within organisations.
This qualification is ideal for individuals in managerial or advisory roles who oversee health and safety compliance, risk management, and the implementation of policies in construction, engineering, industrial, or corporate environments. There are no formal examinations. Learners are assessed against national occupational standards to demonstrate competence in senior health and safety roles.
Remote assessment will be used wherever feasible; however, in some situations an in person observation may be required
On completion, learners may progress to: Strategic or senior health and safety management roles. Chartered or professional registration with health and safety institutes. Consultancy or advisory positions in occupational health and safety. Further advanced qualifications in health and safety, risk management, or construction management. Learners will receive a certificate of competence from the awarding body.
