The Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision – Building and Civil Engineering is a nationally recognised qualification designed to develop advanced supervisory, management, and technical skills required to oversee construction projects effectively.
This qualification is aimed at individuals who are, or aspire to be, construction site supervisors or managers responsible for coordinating building and civil engineering operations. Learners will gain knowledge and competence in planning, supervising, and monitoring construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance on site.
The course bridges practical site experience with managerial responsibilities, providing learners with the skills to manage teams, resources, and workflows efficiently while applying construction legislation and best practices.

There are no formal examinations. Learners are assessed against national occupational standards to demonstrate competence in supervisory and management tasks on site.
Remote assessment will be used wherever feasible; however, in some situations an in person observation may be required
On completion, learners may progress to: Senior site management or project management roles. Professional membership pathways with construction institutes or chartered bodies. Further specialist technical or leadership training in construction. Learners will receive a certificate of competence from the awarding body.
