If you’re up to date with your CITB levy payments, you can apply for grants on completion of eligible, accredited CITB-approved courses. As a CITB Training Provider Network Member, Simply Learning can claim the grant on your behalf , making the process straightforward and hassle-free.

If you work in the construction industry, you need to fill out a Levy Return under the Industrial Training Act 1982. This helps CITB work out how much levy you need to pay. You can send the return online or by post. Before Simply Learning can get any funding for you, you must be registered with CITB.
CITB Levy Rates 2025–26
Employers pay 0.35% on PAYE wages and 1.25% on CIS subcontractor payments.
No levy is due if your total wage bill is under £150,000, with a 50% reduction for businesses paying between £150,000 and £499,999.
CITB grants can make a big difference. They help cover the cost of training and can lead to a more skilled, efficient, and productive workforce.
If you’re a CITB-registered employer and up to date with your levy, you can claim grants for eligible training:
Short Courses: £60–£240 per course
Qualifications (NVQs, NEBOSH, etc.): £600 on achievement
Apprenticeships: £2,500 per year + £3,500 on completion
Travel & Accommodation: Support for eligible apprentice costs

To apply for Levy payments, register with CITB and get your CITB registration number.
Once you’ve completed your training, we will let CITB know, and any eligible grant payments will be made to you automatically.
